With a desire to translate its calm, ethereally lit in-store experience into their online store, Shen Beauty enlisted Domaine for both design and development. The result is a Shopify website that mimics Shen's thoughtfully detailed brick-and-mortar environment while at the same time providing a high-performing buyer experience.
Walking into the Shen Beauty shop feels refreshing, but the previous online experience didn’t match that vibe. Domaine worked to bring the same care and attention to the site that Jess and her team offer in-store. Now, shopping online at Shen feels just as personal and intentional as visiting their Brooklyn storefront.
Shen has always curated top beauty and wellness products, handpicked by founder Jess Richards, a renowned industry expert. Domaine had to find creative solutions to craft a cohesive shopping experience despite the varied image and copy standards across different labels. Now, navigating between products is smooth and seamless, ensuring customers always feel like they’re shopping in the Shen store.
The site was ready for a complete overhaul, so the Domaine team modernized it for a smoother customer experience. New features like search, email, discounting, and upsell tools improved usability. Additions like “shop the look,” quick add, quick view on hover with product details, and gift with purchase functions brought extra delight for shoppers.
