Versed

A modern, flexible foundation built for growth

With an aging codebase and an evolving brand identity, Versed needed a website that could keep up with the company’s ambitions. What began as module updates turned into a full redesign, with a new style guide and new modules built and applied across the whole site. Domaine’s Shopify 2.0 rebuild lays the groundwork for growth while improving conversion and delivering a cohesive brand experience.

Shopify 2.0 flexibility

By rebuilding the site on Shopify 2.0, the Domaine team created a simpler and more flexible foundation that allowed for content updates without developer support. 12 custom modules were developed, including the mega menu navigation, hover drop-downs, and an editable Instagram block. One standout module is a carousel with multiple states built in, like color selection, size, and an option to add items to the mini-cart. Discounts and promotions are also easier to set up with smoother backend operations.

Brand-forward design

The site’s updated design is user friendly and ADA-compliant with improved color swatch and sizing features on PDPs and a new typography and color palette that better aligns with the brand’s packaging and marketing. Modules showcasing ingredient formulations and specific product benefits help users select items with confidence, and place brand values at the forefront of the shopping experience.

Performance-driven UX

Simplified navigation and improved product discovery were prioritized to improve the site’s overall performance and user experience. Newly designed PDPs feature a hover-enabled carousel that lets shoppers explore product variants directly from the images. Balancing rich content with a clean aesthetic, the layouts are optimized for improved conversion and reduced bounce rates.
