Namuk

Simplifying ecommerce for a fast-growing sustainable outdoor brand

As namuk expanded internationally, their ecommerce infrastructure struggled to keep up. Running on Adobe Commerce (Magento), the site required significant maintenance and developer support, slowing innovation and limiting the team’s ability to improve the customer experience. To support growth and reduce operational complexity, namuk partnered with Domaine to migrate to Shopify.

Giving the team full control over content and brand storytelling

Beyond performance improvements, the goal for replatforming was to transform how namuk manages its digital storefront. Previously dependent on developers for many updates, Domaine implemented a flexible content structure that allows the namuk team to create and update landing pages, manage editorial content, and maintain their blog directly within the Shopify admin. By consolidating previously separate systems, including their blog platform, the brand now operates with a unified content and commerce environment.

A scalable tech stack built for international growth

With the migration to Shopify, namuk also modernized their ecommerce technology, leveraging Shopify’s extensive app ecosystem, to support customer experience and revenue growth. Tools such as Rebuy enable cross-sell and upsell opportunities, while REVIEWS.io helps build trust through customer reviews. Gorgias centralizes customer support, allowing the team to respond quickly and efficiently across channels, and Klaviyo powers lifecycle email marketing that contributes directly to revenue growth. The Shopify architecture also made it possible to integrate two US dropshipping storefronts into Shopify in just two weeks, demonstrating the platform’s flexibility and scalability for international expansion.

Supporting sustainability initiatives through ecommerce innovation

Sustainability is central to namuk’s brand mission. Leveraging Shopify’s ecosystem, the team can integrate their sustainablity initiatives directly into the ecommerce experience. For example, through Shopify Planet, all deliveries are now carbon neutral. The brand also operates namuk ReUse, a resale program that allows used garments to be collected and resold, extending the lifecycle of their products. Today, the program plays a key role in the company’s circular commerce strategy.

"We gained an average of 25% in overall speed and made major progress on other fronts, such as creating landing pages and integrating tools like our ERP system. There are far fewer bugs to fix than with Magento and, most importantly, our conversion rate increased by 25%."
